I think probably the worst effect that the success of The Avengers has had on current Marvel comics is that it’s suddenly made everyone pretend that The Hulk can play well on a team. It’s kind of silly, especially when that team is meant to be a covert one.
Not a huge problem, of course, but kind of ridiculous.

How many drafts of the script for The Avengers do you think had a gag where someone asked about The Tessaract saying something like, “So is it some kind of… cosmic cube?” before they decided to stop trying to get that in there?
I just bet there was someone pushing for a line like that.
