The only way to set this off is with a Rest In Power shout out to Scott La Rock. 25 years ago today, the rap game was indelibly changed by his senseless murder. By no means necessary did we put this mix together to celebrate his tragic passing, but to honor him alongside a collection of rap’s chosen who were taken from us far too soon. Our tribute is dedicated to all of the emcees that we’ve lost to meaningless gun violence. It is a sad and unfortunate thing that there are enough slain rappers to make a list of ten.
